
Through her entire life, Sara Evans only held only one goal: sing and compose country songs. Evans stated to John Meroney, of American Enterprise: "God placed me here so that I could sing." "It is what I enjoy doing the most and I'm determined to be successful." Moreover, Evans wanted to succeed by reverting to traditional country songs brought to life by the legendary artists like Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, George Jones and Patty Loveless, musicians Evans considers to be among her top sources of inspiration. Evans had her first breakthrough in the late 1990s as many new country singers began to turn to pop-friendly songs. Her debut in 1997, True Lies, was a prime example. The album was not greeted with critical appreciation and a nomination by the Academy of Country Music in 1998 for being the top female singer, True Lies made little an impact. Evans released her next album was in the year 1999. No Place That Far was a result of bowing to producers who pushed that she needed to expand her range. The singer finally got the recognition that she has been wishing for ever from the time she was young. Sara Evans was born February 5th, 1971 in Columbia, Missouri.
